Strawberries were the favourite fruit of the Ancient Romans, and even since then women used them as a cosmetic product for cleansing their skin. This fruit is rich in Vitamin C, which functions as a strong antioxidant, and it perfectly contributes to the elimination of cellulite as well as fights fervently against free radicals. This red fruit abounds in iron and phosphor, therefore it is recommended by experts and health care providers to be consumed in large quantities, excepting those allergic to it. Strawberries are very often used in cosmetics due to their great qualities; therefore we suggest trying some of the following face masks which you can prepare by yourselves:
1. You will restore your face’s fresh complexion by putting slices of strawberries on your face and leave them for about 10 minutes. Your face will be fresh and glowing!
2. Take a few strawberries and blend them in a blender, then apply the mixture to your face. Before you apply the face mask, disinfect your skin and open your skin pores by steaming your face with linden tea, incense tea, rosemary, or sage tea. After you apply the mask, massage your face gently. Leave the mask to stay on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Apply some olive or almond oil on your face and massage it gently. Your skin will glow!
3. If your skin is tired, then you should try the following mask: you will need 3 tablespoons of strawberry juice, 1tablespoon honey, and 1 beaten egg white. Mix the ingredients together and apply the mixture to your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Enjoy in the freshness of your face!
4. For dry skin you should squash several strawberries and mix them with 1 tablespoon of sour cream. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it to rest for 20 minutes, then remove it with a cotton ball soaked in milk. Enjoy!
