Green Tea Cooler

This delicious smoothie is created by Mary Kennedy, M.S., a nutrition and wellness professional who works for Stonyfield Farm. It combines two powerful skin foods: organic yogurt and green tea. The green tea is loaded with anti-aging antioxidants and the yogurt is loaded with live active cultures that provide the gut with beneficial bacteria, which helps digestion (the better your digestive tract runs, the better your skin will look); mint and honey also help fend off “bad” bacteria. To prepare this smoothie, you will need to blend together a cup of yogurt, a cup of green tea, a few mint leaves, and 3 teaspoons of honey. Enjoy!

 Sweet & Salty Chai Lassi

 A great smoothie created by Billy Brigtsen, a chef in New York City, using skin-healing spices. To make this smoothie you will need the following ingredients: 3 cloves, 3 black peppercorns, 3 green cardamom pods, crushed, 1 whole allspice berry, 1/2 tbsp grated ginger, 1 cup water. First, you should put all the above mentioned ingredients in a small pot and simmer for a few minutes, until the water is reduced to ¼ cup. Let the mixture cool down and then blend it together with 16 oz Green Valley Organics kefir and 4 tablespoons maple syrup.

Watermelon-Lavender Smoothie

 This smoothie recipe will make your skin clear and flawless. You will need 2 cups watermelon (seeds removed and diced into cubes), half cup dairy-free vanilla yogurt, 1/4 cup unsweetened dairy-free milk (or almond milk) and a pinch of food grade dried lavender. Blend all these ingredients together until you get a smooth mixture and you’re done!

 Green Smoothie

 A marvelous smoothie which not only does wonders for your skin and hair, but also is great for boosting your immunity and cleansing your stomach. It is easy to prepare and full of precious nutrients. For the preparation of this green smoothie you should blend together 1 cup coconut water, 5-6 handfuls of spinach (first blend and then mix with rest of the ingredients), a few pieces of frozen pineapple or apples or pears or banana, ½ an avocado, fresh ginger (optional). Blend all the ingredients together and you’ll get a perfect smoothie. Enjoy!
